Men

Ugh. I really really really want to rank this higher. The leads are stellar here, Jessie Buckley as our heroine really wears her heart on her sleeve and her face. MVP is clearly Rory Kinnear who plays several different men throughout the movie, all sinister, all foreboding, all dynamic, all different.

But man, that fucking ending. Granted, it's from the director of Annihilation and Ex Machina so you definitely know it's going to be a movie where it's not all that meets the eye. But Damn, can something even hit the lash? Still a bit unsure of what it was trying to say if anything and by the end you feel unsatisfied and a bit tricked by what could have been a classic. Not just a classic letdown.

Barbarian

Soo....are old naked ladies the new Black? Shit gets wild and it gets wild quickly. And if this movie doesn't cement Justin Long as a scream queen I will leave the planet.

Halloween Ends

I'm slightly tweaking a Real Housewives quote when I say about this movie, "It needs to go back to where it came from, which is nowhere in my life". There were some pretty good kills here and I wasn't wanting to die throughout watching it, but it just left me feeling more confused then anything. Some really bizarre narrative choices occur very early on that takes the story off the path it has been building for all of the new entries. Halloween Begins, Halloween Middles and Halloween Climaxes are all wondering who the fuck this chick is.

Candyman

It's a decent ride but overall pales in comparison to the iconic original and fails to leave a lasting impression. Kind of like that piece of candy at the bottom of your pumpkin that you forgot that you had received.

Night Teeth

The blood drains tf out by the end but overall it's a decent night with a very easy on the eyes cast. Which is quite the praise for a Netflix horror movie

Martyrs

This movie should spit out a referral for therapy by its' gruesome finale.

Incident in a Ghostland

Was sort of expecting basic bitch slasher, but it goes in a few different directions that has me shook. Lovely, and a bit sad.
